Cord Van Riper, MPH

At the heart of Cord’s work with KHP is a passion for population health and working at the intersection of patient interaction and healthcare policy and transformation. With a background in population health management and quality improvement and MPH in Health Administration, Management, and Policy, Cord strives to improve the lives of those within his community by reducing barriers and redesigning systems through centering equity and patient-centered care.

Cord joined KHP as Quality Director with experience working in Medicaid, Medicare, and public health research. During his tenure in quality improvement with KHP, he led projects to improve cancer screening rates, immunization series completion, and fostering integrated care. Cord’s focus on prevention initiatives, quality improvement, and integrating care drive his work as COO.

Cord moved to the Klamath Basin just over ten years ago and enjoys kayaking and paddling the numerous nearby lakes and waterways, camping, and volunteering with the local oral health coalition and hospice organizations.
