Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works as part of an integrated interdisciplinary team serving individuals with behavioral health problems within a primary health care setting. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner handles crisis intervention needs, and maintains a daily schedule of individual and/or group therapeutic treatments. In addition to treating severe and persistent mental health issues (SPMI,) they assess and diagnose patients, provide psychotherapy and prescribe medication. This may include substance abuse and social skills interventions such as areas of domestic violence. In all cases, they work closely with primary care providers and other team members to develop specific behavioral change plans for patients that often experience complicated medical needs.

Mental Health Therapist

Dental Hygienist

The Dental Hygienist participates in patient education of oral hygiene instruction and other dental-related areas, performs charting on patients by presenting problem, medical, and dental history, and perio and tooth charting. The hygienist reviews social and health history of the patient during each visit, reinforces treatment plan for the patient, and attends office training and meetings along with continuing education classes as needed. The hygienist cleans the hygiene room, sterilizes instruments, and prepares the hygiene room for patients; exposes, processes, and evaluates developed radiographs; takes and records blood pressure, temperature, color, respiration, and pulse of patients. Experienced Dental Hygienists are also allowed to place and restore fillings with the discretion of the Dental Director.

Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Clinical Services Manager and in conjunction with directives and standing orders set by the Medical Director, provides walk-in and phone triage services, nurse visit services, clinical case management, all aimed at enhancing patient-centered care and maximizing outcomes across the patient care continuum. In conjunction with the Clinical Services Manager, the Registered Nurse provides oversight to the daily operations of the Medical Assistants assigned to their care team.

Physical Therapy Manager

The Physical Therapy Manager is responsible for the supervision of all physical therapy staff, interviewing and training employees, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems, and ensures appropriate staffing/scheduling. The Physical Therapy Manager will perform direct patient therapy within their area of expertise and monitor patients’ progress. The PT Manager will implement and evaluate patient care programs and make sure therapy procedures are effective and being completed with the appropriate level of intensity.

Radiologic Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for administering x-ray examinations to patients at the
request of the physician assistant or nurse practitioner in consultation with a physician or at the request
of a physician. The Radiologic Technologist makes sure a requisition is received from a provider before
performing any radiology services. The requisition includes a clinical history.

Pharmacy Technician

The pharmacy technician provides technical support working under the supervision of a pharmacist in the processing of prescriptions and the maintenance of our Pharmacy Department. Pharmacy technicians are required to maintain compliance with the State of Oregon Pharmacy Board Rules and Regulations, DEA, and KHP policies. Pharmacy technicians will sell and dispense prescriptions, perform prescription data entry, bill third parties, utilize the KHP Pharmacy Prescription Plan when patients qualify, ensure 340B compliance, prepare and label prescriptions, perform inventory management, clean and maintain an organized pharmacy, answer telephones, answer patient and staff questions, and appropriately refer when needed and/or required.

Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant is responsible for a variety of technical duties while assisting the dentist in the examination and treatment of patients. Working chair-side, the Dental Assistant hands instruments and materials to the dentist and dries the patient’s mouth with suction equipment during treatments. The Dental Assistant performs related duties involved in the care and maintenance of dental instruments, equipment, and supplies. The Dental Assistant may also mix filling compounds, take impressions of teeth, and provide patients with postoperative instructions.

Medical Records Clerk

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for compiling, verifying, and uploading medical records to Klamath Health Partnership’s (EHR) Electronic Health Record. The Medical Records Clerk is also responsible for answering and routing incoming calls to appropriate departments, taking messages, writing triage requests, and forwarding these to appropriate medical staff.
